????The trio behind the crowdfunding site bonded when they learned they each had faced trouble raising money in different industries: Ringelmann for indie films, Rubin for a charity, and Schell for a theater company. They launched Indiegogo in 2008 (ahem, a year before Kickstarter); users like that its global and allows all projects—and that there's an option to keep money raised even if they don't hit their goal. That may be why 90% more campaigns were launched in the past year.
