????Volt在今年年初重磅登場，風頭直追Lady Gaga。這款車型先后收獲了好幾個年度汽車獎，通用公司（GM）大膽的技術飛躍似乎要把全世界的熱情都點著了。可惜的是，Volt的電池在某些事故情況下存在隱患，加上今年年中Volt的生產曾出現長達一個月的中斷，導致這款車型的銷量嚴重受損。通用公司承認，到2011年11月底，Volt的銷量僅為6,200輛，遠不及10,000輛的全年目標。

After snagging a flock of car-of-the-year awards, GM's bold technological leap seemed poised to set the world on fire. Unfortunately, its batteries did just that in certain accident conditions. The negative fallout -- combined with a month-long production halt in the middle of the year to boost output -- kept a damper on sales. After moving only about 6,200 for the first 11 months of 2011, GM admitted it would fall far short of its goal of selling 10,000 Volts in its first year.
