????In 2009, Donald Trump was involved in a number of lawsuits surrounding the failed construction of a set of luxury condos in Baja California, Mexico. The Los Angeles developer Irongate Wilshire used Trump's name to advertise the project. When buyers found out that Trump wasn't actually playing a big role in managing and developing it, they sued him and Irongate for $32 million in down payments.

????Trump, who had sold the developer the right to use his name, was piqued when he found out what happened. He withdrew from the project and sued Irongate for $40 million, claiming he wanted to help buyers recover their lost investments.
